Alexandra is a self-taught painter who is constantly working to develop and grow her style, which is inspired by minimalism, bright colors, & nature. She is spontaneous and constantly re-works layers of paint to create texture and movement in her abstract paintings. She rarely labels a piece as “finished,” sometimes continuing to work on a singular canvas for years. She enjoys photographing her paintings to examine the details of her paint strokes, often perceiving nature scenes, animals, or pop culture references in her work.
